Introduction

This page is meant to be a practical guideline for food businesses in the honey industry preparing themselves for implementation of traceability oriented practice in their own company. Recommendations given are based on principles and requirements set in the TraceFood standards.

Good Practice

  • Link all information about ingredients and raw materials directly to production batch
  • The typical production batch in honey production should be on day of production of a defined product.
  • All information from HHP41-HHP65 should be linked to the actual production batch
  • Provide information about the honey to customer keyed to lot number on product
  • Information about the honey received, should be keyed to internal production batch numbers.
